On March 7th, MTorres received the JEC Innovation Awards for the new automated manufacturing process without mold for monocoque fuselages in composite material. MTorres was awarded along with Airbus that presented the development of complex structural applications of MAI sandwich technology.

The two companies were co-winners in the "Aerospace - Process" category. On behalf of MTorres, the award was received by Luis Pérez Oliva, Senior Vicepresident for customers and markets. For the event, Manuel Torres and Eduardo Torres were accompanied by the General Director of Industry, Energy and Innovation of the Government of Navarra, Ms.Yolanda Blanco; the General Secretary of Employment, University and Business of Region of Murcia, Ms. María Casajús; and the General Director of Energy and Industrial and Mining Activity of the Region of Murcia, Ms. Esther Marín. Also, by several colleagues of the company involved in the development of this innovative process.

 

On the other hand, the Russian company JSC Aerosocomposite was also awarded in the category "Aerospace - Application" for the technology of infusion in the manufacture of the wing of MS-21 aircraft. These wings are the first in the world manufactured with dry fiber, and are manufactured almost entirely with MTorres machinery. The Russian representative highlighted the collaboration of our company in the development of its process.

 

With this award, MTorres consolidates its position as a leading company in the global composite materials sector, showing customers and markets, its high engineering capacity to anticipate Aerospace sector’s needs.
